For more than two decades, I've had the privilege of working alongside employers as they navigated one of their largest, and most unpredictable, business expenses: healthcare.
Early in my career, I believed the annual renewal was the center of the conversation. Over time, I realized something important.
The renewal isn't the strategy.
It's simply one event within a much larger journey.
The organizations that consistently succeed aren't necessarily the ones with the lowest premiums. They're the ones whose leadership teams have a shared vision for how healthcare supports their employees, their culture, and their long-term financial goals.
That realization led me to create CLEAR Healthcare Solutions.
Today, my role is different from that of a traditional benefits consultant or broker. I serve as an independent strategic advisor, helping employers bring Human Resources, Finance, executive leadership, and their benefits partners together around one objective: building a sustainable healthcare strategy.
I often describe my work with two simple ideas.

Those principles have become the foundation of my work and ultimately evolved into The CLEAR Method™, a practical framework that helps organizations move beyond the annual renewal cycle and begin managing healthcare as a long-term business strategy.
Throughout my career, I've advised employers ranging from entrepreneurial businesses to organizations with thousands of employees. I've held leadership positions with two of the world's largest employee benefits consulting firms, collaborated with health plans, healthcare systems, physician organizations, third-party administrators, and healthcare innovators, and served on insurance carrier advisory councils.
Learning has always been one of my greatest passions.
That's why I created the CLEARly Beneficial Podcast, where I interview leaders across healthcare, employee benefits, technology, and public policy. Every conversation expands my own perspective while bringing practical insights back to the employers and organizations I serve.
Outside of healthcare, I believe strongly in giving back to the community. I'm proud to serve in leadership and volunteer roles with organizations including the Crocker Art Museum, the University of California, Davis Graduate School of Management Alumni Association, and Skidmore College.
At the end of the day, my mission is simple.
